Cloth Palms, are a type of palm trees. The elves use it to make fabric and ropes. The process from tree to fabric takes numerous steps.
Step 2: Afterwards the trunk is split open.
Step 3: Then a chisel-like tool is used to scrape the palm fibers out of the center of the trunk.
Step 4: The fibers are then laid in the sun to dry.
The tough fibers are twisted together to form twine.
After the fibers are dry, a handful is taken and scraped against a rough rock made just for this purpose. This softens the fibers and makes them pliable. After the fibers have been worked into a fluffy softness, a spinning wheel is used to turn it into thread. This thread is woven into fabric. (Note: Both the spinning wheel and loom are small for traveling purposes.)
Fur and skins from desert animals are used for clothes as well.
